About the Model Desk

The Football Simulator is published by an independent probability desk. The Model Desk is the institutional byline for the people, software and verification workflow responsible for each forecast. It is not a fictional named analyst.

WHAT THE BYLINE MEANS

One accountable publishing workflow

Data collection, simulation and routine checks use software, while publication rules control which evidence may change the live model. The Model Desk byline identifies that combined process consistently across predictions, research notes and transfer analysis.

01 · EVIDENCE

Verify before changing the model

Official competition and club records are the primary sources for results, schedules, transfers and confirmed availability. Reputable reporting can guide discovery, but it cannot silently enter the live forecast.

02 · MODELLING

Keep assumptions visible

Every published forecast carries a dated model state. Counterfactuals remain separate from the core forecast, important assumptions are stated, and matched seeds isolate the effect being analysed.

03 · PUBLICATION

Make claims traceable

Analysis pages link to their evidence, distinguish probabilities from guarantees, and keep forecast outputs separate from bookmaker prices. The public methodology explains how the numbers are produced.

04 · CORRECTIONS

Correct the source claim

If a figure, attribution or factual statement is wrong, the page and any newly published social item are corrected promptly. Readers can report an issue directly to the publisher.

INDEPENDENCE

Forecast first, market comparison second

Bookmaker prices do not train or move the sporting forecast. They are compared with model probabilities only after a forecast is published. Commercial access never changes the result of a model run, the evidence threshold or the corrections policy.

Questions or corrections: support@thefootballsimulator.com. Include the page address, the exact claim and a supporting source so the Model Desk can verify it quickly.
